Description

The Midea M-Thermal Nature R290 MHC-V10WD2RN7-BE30 is the smallest of the four Nature R290 models (V10, V12, V14, V16) and the only one whose heating output does not change: 9.50 kW at A7W35, A7W45 and A7W55, with only the COP moving (4.95, 3.90 and 3.20). It has the lowest sound power level of the four (54 dB(A)) and the highest SCOP, 5.33 at 35 °C, so it suits a site where steady output and efficiency matter more than extra kilowatts. Cooling is 8.10 kW (A35W7) and 10.00 kW (A35W18), the refrigerant is R290 (1.1 kg), heating-circuit water reaches 80 °C and domestic hot water 70 °C.

How the V10 differs from the V12

The closest model in this range is Midea MHC-V12WD2RN7-BER90. The table shows the parameters on which they genuinely differ.

Parameter V10 V12
Heating capacity (A7W35) 9.50 kW 12.10 kW
Heating capacity (A7W55) 9.50 kW 11.90 kW
COP (A7W35) 4.95 4.95
Cooling capacity (A35W18) 10.00 kW 12.00 kW
Sound power level 54 dB(A) 55 dB(A)
Heating element 3 kW, 1 stage, separate single-phase 220–240 V supply 9 kW, 3 stages, same three-phase supply

Choose the V10 for a steady 9.50 kW that does not drop with 55 °C water, the lowest sound power level (54 dB(A)) and the highest SCOP (5.33 at 35 °C). Its heating element needs a separate single-phase 220–240 V supply. If you need more heat (12.10 kW at A7W35, 11.90 kW at A7W55) or want the heating element on the same three-phase supply, take the V12.

What is the MHC-V10WD2RN7-BE30 monobloc air to water heat pump used for?

The Midea MHC-V10WD2RN7-BE30 handles space heating, cooling and domestic hot water: the heating circuit water temperature is adjustable from 25 to 80 °C and hot water from 20 to 70 °C. The cooling modes A35W7 and A35W18 give 8.10 kW and 10.00 kW respectively. As a monobloc, the whole refrigerant circuit sits in one unit (1051×1330×475 mm), which connects to the system with 5/4" water pipes.

How cold can this Midea heat pump run in winter?

In heating mode the V10 operates at outdoor temperatures down to −25 °C. Ice build-up is limited by intelligent defrost and base-pan heating. The sound power level is 54 dB(A), and the model is Quiet Mark certified.

How much less electricity does it use than direct electric heating?

The seasonal efficiency SCOP is 5.33 at 35 °C and 4.01 at 55 °C. From a SCOP of 5.33, the unit uses roughly 81% less electricity than direct electric heating for the same amount of heat. This is a calculation, not a figure stated by the manufacturer.

Power supply and connections

The main unit runs on a three-phase 380–415 V / 3 / 50 Hz supply. The built-in 3 kW heating element (1 stage) is connected separately, to a single-phase 220–240 V supply.

5/4" water connections, water flow 0.40–2.10 m³/h.
