Home energy storage with an inverter: what is in the set
The set has three parts: the hybrid inverter HEC2-T10.0Hr2-EU, the BMS module HEC2-MP00r2-EU and the HEC2-SP50r2-EU base with two battery modules, giving an initial capacity of 10.2 kWh. Everything is combined into one tower, so nothing needs to be matched separately. These parts are also sold separately, but the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU is a ready-assembled, matched set. The system is built with technology from the Midea group.
10 kW battery storage: who is this power for?
10 kW of continuous power suits a three-phase household running a heat pump, an induction hob or an EV charger. The short 20 kW peak (10 s) can be used to start heat pumps, water pumps and power tools. The 10.2 kWh initial capacity is meant to power a home through the night. Two MPPT trackers let you connect two separate strings of panels, for example the east and west sides of a roof.
Battery for a solar system: compatibility and capacity
The battery input of the inverter works in the 180–650 V DC range, and the nominal battery voltage is 204.8 V DC. High-voltage and low-voltage systems are not interchangeable and each manufacturer has its own list of approved pairs, so this system should be treated as one complete set. We choose capacity from your actual evening consumption. We check expansion options before you order.
Backup power and UPS-class switchover
When grid voltage is lost, the system switches to battery supply in under 10 ms, so remote work, security systems and a smart home keep running without interruption. The backup (EPS) output is three-phase, 230/400 V AC, 10 kW. The system is controlled through a mobile app that shows real-time energy monitoring, and modes such as maximum self-consumption, time-of-use tariff windows or priority reserve can be changed remotely.
Installing the storage system
The inverter and batteries have IP65 protection, so the system can be installed both indoors and outdoors. Surplus solar power can be stored instead of being fed into the grid. ESO (Lithuanian grid operator) states:
“Part of the surplus electricity generated can be stored in an energy storage device and used in the evening.”
We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
Frequently asked questions
What is the capacity of the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU energy storage system?
The Hiconics HEC2-BHP100r2-EU has an initial battery capacity of 10.2 kWh (2 modules with the HEC2-SP50r2-EU base). Hybrid Energy can help you work out the capacity from your evening consumption.
Is this a home battery with an inverter included?
Yes, the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU is a storage system with an inverter: the set includes the 10 kW three-phase hybrid inverter HEC2-T10.0Hr2-EU, the BMS module and 10.2 kWh of batteries in a single tower.
Is it suitable as a 10 kW battery system?
Yes, the continuous output power of the system is 10 kW and the peak power reaches 20 kW for 10 seconds, which helps start a heat pump or a water pump.
Will the system work during a grid outage?
Yes, the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU switches to backup supply in under 10 ms (UPS class). The EPS output is three-phase, 230/400 V AC, up to 10 kW.
How many MPPT trackers does the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU have?
The inverter has 2 independent MPPT trackers, so two separate strings of panels can be connected, for example on two sides of a roof. Maximum PV voltage is 1000 V DC.
Is it a LiFePO4 battery?
Yes, the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU batteries are LiFePO4. One module has a capacity of 50 Ah and a nominal voltage of 204.8 V DC, and the batteries meet IEC 62619:2022.
Can the system be installed outdoors?
Yes, the inverter and batteries have IP65 protection, so the system can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
Will this system suit my inverter?
The HEC2-BHP100r2-EU is a complete system with its own inverter HEC2-T10.0Hr2-EU, so a separate inverter is not needed. If you already have another inverter, send us its model and we will check compatibility before you order.
Can parts of the set be bought separately?
Yes, the inverter HEC2-T10.0Hr2-EU, the BMS HEC2-MP00r2-EU and the HEC2-SP50r2-EU base with battery modules are also sold separately. The HEC2-BHP100r2-EU is a ready-assembled, matched set.
How is the system controlled?
The HEC2-BHP100r2-EU is controlled through a mobile app, which shows real-time energy monitoring and statistics. Modes such as maximum self-consumption, time-of-use tariff windows or priority reserve can be changed remotely.
