10 kW air-to-water heat pump: who is the Midea MHC-V10W for?

According to the manufacturer, this monobloc is intended for single-family homes and small commercial sites. If your house has a single-phase connection, 10.00 kW at A7W35 is the highest output you can get from the PRO R32 models with a single-phase supply (V12–V16 are already three-phase). Heating, cooling and hot water all come from one outdoor unit.

Monobloc heat pump: what is inside the outdoor unit?

The Midea MHC-V10W is a single outdoor unit with all hydraulic components built in, so it suits places where space is limited. Dimensions are 1385 × 865 × 523 mm, water connections 1″, flow rate 0.40–2.10 m³/h. It is controlled with a wired controller or a mobile app, has Modbus RTU for building control systems and a Smart Grid function, and up to 6 units can be connected in a cascade.

Air-to-water heat pump for radiators: temperatures and COP

The leaving water temperature is 25…65 °C for heating and 20…60 °C for hot water. COP is 4.95 at 35 °C, 3.75 at 45 °C and 3.10 at 55 °C; SCOP at 55 °C is 3.49. It therefore works most efficiently with underfloor heating and low-temperature radiators, while with higher-temperature systems you need to allow for the lower COP.

Single-phase or three-phase: MHC-V10W or MHC-V12W?

The MHC-V10W runs on a 220–240 V / 1 phase / 50 Hz supply, the minimum circuit ampacity is 30 A and the 3 kW electric heater has one stage. If the house has a three-phase panel, it is worth comparing it with the MHC-V12W/D2RN8-B2ER90: its heating capacity at A7W35 is 12.10 kW and its electric heater is 9 kW in three stages. We choose the right output by the heat loss of the house.

Heat pump installation: why you need a certified specialist

This heat pump uses R32, a fluorinated greenhouse gas. EU Regulation 2024/573 on fluorinated gases states, in essence, that people working with such equipment must be certified:

“Natural persons carrying out the activities referred to in points (a), (b) and (c) of the first subparagraph of Article 10(1) shall be certified in accordance with Article 10.”

Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on fluorinated greenhouse gases

In practice this means you cannot connect the heat pump yourself: installation and connection must be done by a certified specialist.

We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
