Midea M-Thermal-10B1HB2 is the only single-phase (220–240 V) model among the 10–16 kW M-Thermal PRO Split heat pumps: it delivers 10.00 kW of heat at A7W35 with COP 5.00, and its seasonal SCOP is 5.20 (35 °C) and 3.49 (55 °C), efficiency class A+++ (35 °C) / A++ (55 °C). It suits a site that has only a single-phase supply; if the building’s heat loss calls for more than 10 kW, the next model up is the three-phase M-Thermal-12B3HB2.

How the M-Thermal-10B1HB2 differs from M-Thermal-12B3HB2
| Parameter | M-Thermal-10B1HB2 | M-Thermal-12B3HB2 |
|---|---|---|
| Power supply | 220–240 V / 1 / 50 Hz | 380–415 V / 3 / 50 Hz |
| Built-in electric heater | 3 kW / 1 stage | 9 kW / 3 stages |
| Heating capacity A7W35 | 10.00 kW | 12.10 kW |
| COP at A7W35 | 5.00 | 4.95 |
| SCOP (35 °C) | 5.20 | 4.81 |
| Outdoor unit sound power level | 60 dB(A) | 64 dB(A) |
Choose the M-Thermal-10B1HB2 when the supply is single-phase and 10 kW is enough for the building’s heat loss: among the models compared here it has the highest COP and SCOP and the smallest (3 kW) built-in heater. If you need more capacity, look at the three-phase M-Thermal-12B3HB2: it needs a 380–415 V supply and delivers 12.10 kW, but its SCOP (35 °C) is lower at 4.81. The series also includes smaller single-phase 4–8 kW models. We size the capacity from heat loss, not from floor area.
What flow temperature does the M-Thermal-10B1HB2 heat pump supply?
In heating mode M-Thermal-10B1HB2 supplies water at 25–65 °C and works at outdoor temperatures from −25 to 35 °C. The higher the flow temperature, the lower the COP: 5.00 at A7W35, 3.80 at A7W45 and 3.10 at A7W55, with heating capacity of 10.00, 10.00 and 9.50 kW respectively.
- Seasonal efficiency: SCOP 5.20 at 35 °C and 3.49 at 55 °C.
- Seasonal space heating efficiency ηs: 204.8 % (35 °C) and 136.6 % (55 °C).
- Annual electricity consumption per the manufacturer: 3644 kWh (35 °C) and 4539 kWh (55 °C).
We agree the flow temperature (underfloor heating or radiators) with you, because real-world efficiency depends on it.
Split air to water heat pump: outdoor unit, hydraulic module and connections
M-Thermal-10B1HB2 consists of the outdoor unit MHA-V10W/D2N8-B2 and the wall-mounted hydraulic module HB-A100/CDS90GN8-B2, linked by refrigerant piping up to 30 m long. The module already contains a circulation pump, expansion vessel, sensors and protection devices, which means less work on site during installation.
- Piping: up to 15 m without topping up refrigerant, height difference between the units up to 20 m; connections gas 5/8″, liquid 3/8″.
- Water side: connections 1″ / 1″, flow rate 0.40–2.10 m³/h.
- Control and communication: wired controller, mobile app, Modbus RTU, cascade connection.
- Additional heat sources: these can be connected, according to the manufacturer’s datasheet.
Does the M-Thermal-10B1HB2 heat pump make domestic hot water?
M-Thermal-10B1HB2 heats domestic hot water to 20–60 °C and can do so at outdoor temperatures from −25 to 43 °C. The built-in 3 kW electric heater (1 stage) switches on automatically during peak load or in very cold conditions. The specification of this kit does not state a hot water tank capacity, so we select it to match your needs.
Why a heat pump must be installed by a certified specialist
M-Thermal-10B1HB2 uses R32 refrigerant (1.65 kg, CO2 equivalent 1113.8 kg), a fluorinated greenhouse gas. EU regulation requires people working with such equipment to be certified. The regulation states (our translation from the Lithuanian version):
“Natural persons carrying out the activities referred to in points (a), (b) and (c) of the first subparagraph of Article 10(1) shall be certified in accordance with Article 10.”
In practice this means you cannot connect a heat pump yourself: installation, refrigerant charging and servicing must be done by a certified specialist.
We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
