The Midea M-Thermal-6B1HB2 is the 6 kW split model between the 4 kW and 8 kW ones: its 6.20 kW heating capacity (A7W35) sits between the 4B1HB2 (4.25 kW) and the 8B1HB2 (8.30 kW), with COP 5.00 and SCOP 4.95 at 35 °C. It differs from the 4 kW model only in the outdoor unit (MHA-V6W instead of MHA-V4W) and keeps the same hydraulic module, so it suits a house that needs a little more heat than the 4 kW model gives. Single-phase (220–240 V) with a 3 kW electric heater, it works down to −25 °C.

How the Midea M-Thermal-6B1HB2 differs from the 4 kW and 8 kW models
The Midea M-Thermal-6B1HB2 differs from the 4 kW model only in the outdoor unit (6.20 kW instead of 4.25 kW at A7W35), and from the 8 kW model also in having the smaller hydraulic module HB-A60/CD30GN8-B2 and a 58.0 kg outdoor unit.
| Parameter | M-Thermal-6B1HB2 | M-Thermal-4B1HB2 | M-Thermal-8B1HB2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heating capacity A7W35 | 6.20 kW | 4.25 kW | 8.30 kW |
| COP (A7W35) | 5.00 | 5.20 | 5.20 |
| SCOP (35 °C / 55 °C) | 4.95 / 3.52 | 4.85 / 3.31 | 5.22 / 3.36 |
| Cooling capacity A35W7 | 7.00 kW | 4.70 kW | 7.40 kW |
| Hydraulic module | HB-A60/CD30GN8-B2 | HB-A60/CD30GN8-B2 | HB-A100/CDS90GN8-B2 |
| Outdoor unit weight (net) | 58.0 kg | 58.0 kg | 75.0 kg |
Choose the 6 kW model if 4.25 kW is not enough but you do not need 8.30 kW: its cooling capacity at A35W7 is 7.00 kW (4.70 kW for the 4 kW model) and the outdoor unit weighs the same 58.0 kg. For a lower heat demand look at the Midea M-Thermal-4B1HB2, for a higher one at the Midea M-Thermal-8B1HB2. We size the capacity by the building’s heat losses, not by floor area.
Which house suits a 6 kW air-to-water heat pump?
The Midea M-Thermal-6B1HB2 has a heating capacity of 6.20 kW at A7W35 and suits a small, well-insulated house whose heat demand is slightly higher than that of the 4 kW model. Choose the capacity by the building’s heat losses, not by floor area, so talk to us before you buy: the consultation is free.
6 kW air-to-water heat pump for radiators and underfloor heating
The lower the flow temperature, the more efficiently a heat pump runs: the M-Thermal-6B1HB2 reaches COP 5.00 at 35 °C, 3.75 at 45 °C and 3.00 at 55 °C. SCOP is 4.95 at 35 °C and falls to 3.52 at 55 °C.
- A7W35: 6.20 kW heat output, 1.24 kW input, COP 5.00.
- A7W45: 6.35 kW heat output, 1.69 kW input, COP 3.75.
- A7W55: 6.00 kW heat output, 2.00 kW input, COP 3.00.
At 55 °C this model’s heat output (6.00 kW) is slightly lower than at 35 °C (6.20 kW) and COP drops from 5.00 to 3.00; if the house has high-temperature radiators, weigh up this difference before buying.
Midea split heat pump: what is in the kit and how it connects
The kit consists of the outdoor unit MHA-V6W/D2N8-B2 and the wall-mounted hydraulic module HB-A60/CD30GN8-B2. Both units connect to a single-phase 220–240 V / 50 Hz supply. The units are linked by refrigerant piping (gas 5/8″, liquid 1/4″) up to 30 m long; the height difference between them can be up to 20 m, and no extra refrigerant is needed for pipe runs up to 15 m.
The hydraulic module houses the circulation pump, expansion vessel, sensors and safety devices. You can control the system with a wired controller or the mobile app; it supports Modbus RTU and cascade connection, and additional heat sources can be connected.
Can I install an air-to-water heat pump myself?
No. The Midea M-Thermal-6B1HB2 uses R32 (1.5 kg), a fluorinated greenhouse gas, so connecting, charging and servicing it must be done by a certified specialist. Regulation (EU) 2024/573 states (our translation of the Lithuanian text):
“Natural persons carrying out the activities referred to in points (a), (b) and (c) of the first subparagraph of Article 10(1) shall be certified in accordance with Article 10.”
We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
