The DOSPEL DRAGON 1000 COLOR is a single vertical-axis turbine rated 1 kW by name (the manufacturer states more than 1000 W), 100 × 170 cm and 50 kg. The DRAGON 1000 COLOR works with 24 V or 48 V controllers, and no controller is included: we select it together with the batteries for your site. The turbine produces three-phase alternating current, and the controller converts it to direct current.
The manufacturer gives three diagrams: OFF-GRID (bridge rectifier, charge controller with a brake, battery bank and an inverter to 230 V), ON-GRID through an inverter, and a hybrid one with PV panels.
The turbine does not connect to the home grid by itself and needs a wind inverter.
