The Hiconics BMS HEC2-MP00R2-EU is a smart battery management (BMS) module, a “BMS control box”, for the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU (Midea Hiconics All-in-One) energy storage system. It monitors the voltage, current and temperature of every cell, actively balances the cells and protects the battery from degradation. System configurations from 10.2 to 40.8 kWh use one or two BMS units.

For configurations up to 20.4 kWh the manufacturer specifies one BMS unit (20.4 kWh can also be built with two), and for 30.6 and 40.8 kWh configurations two. The manufacturer’s layouts are:

High-voltage battery system: what is the BMS HEC2-MP00R2-EU compatible with?
The BMS is designed for the HEC2-BHP100r2-EU energy storage system. For full functionality the manufacturer says to use it with Hiconics-brand batteries and an inverter. The system manual lists these inverters: HEC2-T15.0Hr2-Eu, HEC2-T12.0Hr2-Eu, HEC2-T10.0Hr2-Eu and HEC2-T8.0Hr2-Eu.
The same manual lists these battery systems: HEC2-BHP100r2-EU, BHP150r2-EU, BHP200r2-EU, BHP200r2-A-EU, BHP300r2-A-EU and BHP400r2-A-EU. The module is 50 Ah (BHP100, BHP150, BHP200) or 100 Ah (the “A” models), and system voltages are 204.8 / 307.2 / 409.6 V.
How do you connect a battery to an inverter and a solar system?
In the system the BMS unit has BMS-PARALLEL, INV and Debug ports, and we choose the wiring scheme for your inverter and configuration. A battery stores the surplus from a solar system for the evening. ESO (Lithuanian grid operator) states this as follows, in translation:
“Part of the surplus electricity generated can be stored in an energy storage device and used in the evening.”
