The Deye SUN-SMART-SWITCH01P3 is a wireless LoRa switch for high-power devices of up to 25 A phase current, suitable for single-phase (L1/N) and three-phase (L1/L2/L3/N) networks. It controls a heat pump, air conditioner, water heater or pool pump manually, on a schedule or by battery charge (SOC), and its IP65 housing allows outdoor installation. It talks to a Deye hybrid inverter through the separately sold SUN-SMART-TX01 transmitter.

What is a smart switch for a heat pump, air conditioner and water heater for?
The SUN-SMART-SWITCH01P3 is built for high-power loads of up to 25 A: heat pumps, air conditioners, water heaters and pool pumps. It works on single-phase and three-phase networks, and the housing is designed for outdoor installation. The manufacturer describes the aim of the Deye smart system as using as much solar energy as possible and reducing the electricity bill.
Which Deye hybrid inverters does this switch work with?
The manufacturer states that all Deye hybrid inverters are supported. The link to the inverter goes only through the SUN-SMART-TX01 transmitter, which is sold separately and plugs into the inverter’s Meter port. Without the transmitter the switch does not connect to the inverter.
The manufacturer also places the SUN-SMART-CT01 Smart CT current meter, the Smart Plug and the SUN-EVSE11K01-EU-AC and SUN-EVSE22K01-EU-AC EV chargers in the same Deye smart system. That is a shared platform; the manufacturer does not state direct compatibility of the switch with these devices.
How do you turn a heat pump or water heater on by battery charge or schedule?
The switch has three control modes, and all of them are set in the Deye Cloud app or on the inverter screen:
- Manual – you switch it on or off yourself.
- By schedule – the switch turns on and off at the times you set.
- By battery charge (SOC) – the load is switched according to the battery charge level.
The setup logic is the same as for the Smart Plug.

The housing is rated IP65 and the operating temperature is −40 °C to +45 °C.
