How do I choose the power of a hybrid inverter?

This model gives 8 kW to the grid and 8 kW on the backup output, and accepts up to 12.8 kW on the PV side (160% of rated power), so the solar array can be larger than the inverter. Hybrid inverter backup power during a grid outage

When the grid goes down, the inverter switches to backup power in under 10 ms and supplies up to 8 kW on the backup output. There are two backup outputs, so critical loads (a fridge or heating controls, for example) can be separated from non-critical ones. The three-phase output can be loaded unevenly: up to 50% of rated power, that is up to 4 kW, per phase. Overload of up to 200% of rated power is allowed for 10 s.
