The EMLO 13 is the smallest and quietest model in the EMLO diesel infrared heater range: 13 kW heats up to 900 m³, the noise level is 45 dB (EMLO 16: 48 dB, EMLO 20: 50 dB) and the height is 935 mm (the other two: 1110 mm). It suits smaller halls, workshops and garages, with a maximum fuel consumption of 0.95–1.14 l/h. It runs on diesel or kerosene, is powered from a 220–240 V supply (80 W) and is controlled with the TERMOFOL Smart app or the remote control.

Choose the EMLO 13 when the volume to heat is up to 900 m³ and you want the quietest and lowest (935 mm) model. For up to 1100 m³ look at the EMLO 16, and for up to 1400 m³ at the EMLO 20. Power supply, fuel and control are the same on all three models.
Diesel infrared heater for a garage, workshop or warehouse: where does EMLO 13 fit?
EMLO 13 suits large spaces that are hard to heat, up to 900 m³. The manufacturer lists halls, warehouses, workshops, garages, building sites, event tents and tent halls, as well as terraces, greenhouses and winter gardens.
According to the manufacturer’s manual, the heater must not be used in bedrooms, small enclosed rooms or rooms smaller than 80 m².
How much fuel does EMLO 13 use?
EMLO 13 uses 0.95–1.14 l/h at maximum output and about 0.31 l/h on average, with a 50 l fuel tank. After switch-off, an electromagnetic valve runs for 10 s and returns the remaining fuel to the tank, which reduces the smell of fuel.
Use diesel or kerosene. The manufacturer warns that other fuel can cause soot build-up and faults.
Diesel heater with a flue: how are the combustion gases removed?
EMLO 13 comes with a Ø 100 mm flue connection kit: an elbow, a 1 m extension and a 0.9 m end piece. In small spaces the manufacturer recommends an additional flue-gas system, a Ø 100 mm × 5 m aluminium pipe protected from rain. The room must be ventilated regularly.
Start-up, control and placement
EMLO 13 needs no installation: fill it with fuel and plug it into a socket. You can control it with the TERMOFOL Smart app (iOS/Android), the remote control or the LED display on the body. Pairing the app needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and the router must be in the same room, no more than 3–5 m away.
Leave at least 15 cm to the wall on the left and right and at least 1 m to the ceiling, and keep the front clear. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby and lock the wheels after positioning. Add fuel only with the heater switched off. Electronic temperature control is also named in the EU regulation as a feature of local space heaters:
