The Deye SUN-EVSE11K01-EU-AC is an 11 kW three-phase AC wall-mounted EV charger with a Type 2 connector and a Solar Only mode, which charges the car from surplus solar energy only. It works on its own over Wi-Fi, or as part of a Deye hybrid inverter system over wireless LoRa. It is made for homes and small businesses.

11 kW home EV charger: how long does charging take?
On a three-phase installation the charger delivers 11 kW, on a single phase 3.7 kW, and the charging current is adjustable from 6 to 16 A. A full charge of a 60 kWh battery takes about 6 hours, which is about 75 km of range for each hour of charging.
Solar panels and Solar Only mode
If you have a solar system, Solar Only mode charges the car only when surplus solar energy exceeds the charge threshold you set for the home battery. This way charging does not take energy away from the needs of the house. Besides this mode there are two more: Plug & Play and a schedule with up to 4 time slots.
Compatibility with Deye hybrid inverters and LoRa
The charger is compatible with all Deye hybrid inverters. To add it to the inverter system over LoRa you need the SUN-SMART-TX01 transmitter, which is sold separately and connects to the inverter Meter port; the range without obstacles is about 200 m. LoRa commands are executed even without internet, with a delay of 0.2 s versus 3–5 s over Wi-Fi. Other LoRa devices work in the same Deye system too: a wireless CT, a Smart Plug and a Smart Switch.
EV charger installation and protection
The charger is mounted on a wall indoors or outdoors: the enclosure is rated IP66 and the operating temperature is −40 to +55 °C. It has a 7-level protection system, including a DC 6 mA RCD and Type II surge protection. The recommended AC cable cross-section is 1.5 mm² (14 AWG).
