What is a high-voltage Deye battery for a solar system used for?
The Deye BOS-G Pro module is designed for energy storage in on-grid, off-grid and hybrid solar systems. It also suits backup power for homes and businesses, such as supermarkets, banks and small factories, as well as load levelling and peak shifting.
- A battery for a solar system, when you want to store energy for the evening
- Backup power for homes and businesses
- Peak shifting and load-curve levelling
How many BOS-G-Pack5.1 modules do I need and what capacity will I get?
One system consists of 5 to 16 modules connected to one BOS-G-PDU-2 control box. According to the Deye table there are four variants:
- BOS-G25 Pro: 5 modules, 25.6 kWh, 256 V (operating voltage 220–292 V), usable energy 23.04 kWh
- BOS-G40 Pro: 8 modules, 40.96 kWh, 409.6 V (352–467.2 V), usable 36.86 kWh
- BOS-G60 Pro: 12 modules, 61.44 kWh, 614.4 V (528–700.8 V), usable 55.3 kWh
- BOS-G80 Pro: 16 modules, 81.92 kWh, 819.2 V (704–934.4 V), usable 73.73 kWh
Which inverters and other parts is it compatible with?
This is a high-voltage (HV) system, so it works with HV inverters, not with low-voltage inverters. The manufacturer’s document states that the firmware update is compatible with Deye inverters, but it does not name specific inverter models, so we check compatibility against your inverter.
- Required HV control box BOS-G-PDU-2: 200–1000 V DC, 100 A nominal, 120 A maximum, 440 × 570 × 150 mm, 19 kg, IP20
- Racks (optional): 3U-HRACK for 12 modules and 1 HV box (530 × 602 × 2219 mm, 51 kg), 3U-LRACK for 8 modules and 1 HV box (530 × 602 × 1629 mm, 41 kg)
- Up to 16 racks (clusters) can be connected in parallel, and up to 10 inverters in parallel on the AC side
Home energy storage and what the grid operator says
ESO (Lithuanian grid operator) states:
“Part of the surplus electricity generated can be stored in an energy storage device and used in the evening.”
We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
What to know before you buy
- This is only a module: a system needs the BOS-G-PDU-2 HV control box and at least 5 modules.
- Weight: one module weighs about 46 kg.
- Temperature: charging from 0 to 55 °C, discharging from -20 to 55 °C.
- IP20 protection: choose the location according to the manufacturer’s requirements.
Frequently asked questions
What is the capacity of the Deye BOS-G-Pack5.1 module?
The nominal energy of the Deye BOS-G-Pack5.1 is 5.12 kWh (51.2 V, 100 Ah). In a system of 16 modules that adds up to 81.92 kWh.
How many cycles does the Deye BOS-G Pro last?
The manufacturer states at least 6000 cycles (25 ± 2 °C, 0.5C / 0.5C, to 70% EOL), with a depth of discharge of 90%.
Is the Deye BOS-G Pro a high-voltage battery?
Yes. The Deye BOS-G Pro is a high-voltage (HV) battery: the nominal voltage of an 8-module system is 409.6 V, and of a 12-module system 614.4 V.
What warranty does the manufacturer give?
The manufacturer states a 10-year warranty for the Deye BOS-G Pro module.
How many modules does one system need?
One system has 5 to 16 BOS-G-Pack5.1 modules, which is 25.6 to 81.92 kWh of nominal energy.
Do I need an extra control box for the module?
Yes, the system needs the BOS-G-PDU-2 HV control box (200–1000 V DC, 100 A nominal current). Hybrid Energy selects it together with the modules.
What are the dimensions and weight of the Deye BOS-G-Pack5.1?
The module measures 440 × 585 × 133 mm (3U, 19-inch) and weighs about 46 kg.
Will this battery work with my inverter?
The Deye BOS-G Pro is an HV system, so it needs an HV inverter. Hybrid Energy checks whether your inverter will work with the battery before you order.
What rack are the modules mounted in?
The modules are mounted in a 19-inch rack: the 3U-HRACK holds 12 modules and the 3U-LRACK holds 8.
Does Hybrid Energy install and connect the system?
Yes, we deliver across Lithuania, install and connect it. The consultation before purchase is free.
