- Free delivery across Lithuania
- 14-day returns — we pay for the return shipping
- Manufacturer warranty, CE compliant
SMARTWIND 400 W is the middle SMARTWIND version: maximum power 400 W, rated power 200 W and the lowest start-up wind speed in the series, 2.4 m/s (the 300 W version needs 2.6 m/s, the 500 W version 3.2 m/s). It suits cases where 150 W of rated power is too little but you do not want the higher start-up speed of the 500 W model. The output is three-phase AC up to 24 V, the noise level is below 40 dB and the warranty is 2 years.

How the SMARTWIND 400 W differs from the 300 W and 500 W versions
| Parameter | SMARTWIND 300 W | SMARTWIND 400 W | SMARTWIND 500 W |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maximum power | 300 W | 400 W | 500 W |
| Rated power | 150 W | 200 W | 300 W |
| Start-up wind speed | 2.6 m/s | 2.4 m/s | 3.2 m/s |
Choose the 400 W version when you need more than 150 W of rated power but a low start-up wind speed also matters: 2.4 m/s is the lowest of the three. If 150 W rated is enough, look at the SMARTWIND 300 W; if you need 300 W rated and a 3.2 m/s start is acceptable, look at the SMARTWIND 500 W. Dimensions (70 × 70 × 120 cm), weight (10 kg), voltage and noise level are the same for all three versions.
What is the SMARTWIND 400 W vertical wind turbine for?
All three SMARTWIND versions are meant for the same uses and differ only in power and start-up wind speed:
- Camping
- Tool sheds
- Houseboats
- Places where it is hard to connect to the national grid
- Getting to know wind energy or checking whether a site has enough wind
12 V and 24 V wind turbine: what does it connect to?
The SMARTWIND 400 W is designed for 12/24 V DC battery systems, and its output is three-phase AC up to 24 V. It can be combined with a Stand Alone or Grid Connected inverter system. Specific inverter, controller or battery models are not specified, so we will choose a suitable match for your system.
How to choose a small wind turbine: power and start-up speed
Look at the rated power (200 W), not only the maximum (400 W), and at the start-up wind speed of 2.4 m/s, the lowest of the three. Compared with the 300 W version the rated power is 50 W higher, and compared with the 500 W version it is 100 W lower. Real output depends on the wind at your site, so before you buy we assess the location and your needs together.
Is a small wind turbine suitable for a home?
The SMARTWIND 400 W has a rated power of 200 W, so it is still a small turbine for a small amount of electricity. If you are looking for a wind turbine for a house, tell us how much electricity you need and we will assess together whether 200 W of rated power is enough or a different solution is needed.
What wind does the mast have to withstand?
According to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service:
“The highest wind speed recorded in Lithuania’s observation history was 40 m/s.”
Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service — Wind (translated from Lithuanian)
The start-up wind speed is only part of the picture: how the mast is secured matters just as much, including the foundation, guy wires and fixing points.
We handle it for you. We select the equipment for your site, deliver anywhere in Lithuania, install and connect it.
