Marsun makes up our generator range: diesel and petrol gensets with built-in automatic voltage regulation (AVR), for home, holiday-house and business backup power.

What Marsun is known for

Marsun builds diesel and petrol generators with AVR as standard, which keeps output voltage stable as the load changes — important for starting and running motors, pumps and sensitive electronics during a power cut.

How to pick a Marsun model

Size it by adding up the power draw of everything you want to keep running, with a margin for motor start-up surges, then match the phase count to your supply — our Marsun diesel range is three-phase, and petrol comes in both three-phase and single-phase versions. The MHD models are liquid-cooled in a silenced enclosure (about 72–74 dB) and most have a built-in ATS (optional on the MHD20B and MHD20BM). Diesel models generally suit longer or heavier-duty running; petrol models suit lighter or more occasional use. As a rough guide, 9–20 kW covers most homes and holiday houses, while 40 kW and up suits a full building or business.

Frequently asked questions

What does AVR do?

Automatic Voltage Regulation keeps the generator’s output voltage stable as the load changes, protecting sensitive equipment from voltage spikes or drops.

Should I choose diesel or petrol?

Diesel generators generally handle longer runtimes and heavier loads more efficiently; petrol units suit lighter or occasional use.

Do you sell single-phase Marsun generators?

Yes, in petrol: the MVB2PI, MVB3.5PI and MVB6PI are single-phase, and the MVBG3.5PI and MVBG6PI are single-phase petrol and LPG dual-fuel units. Our diesel Marsun generators are three-phase only.
