The manufacturer Dospel has focused primarily on the device’s performance under Polish weather conditions, which means the turbine starts generating electricity at a wind speed of just 1.2 m/s.
For other wind turbines available on the market, electricity generation begins at 6 m/s, and the generators used in those units are not produced in Poland. Consequently, they have never been adapted to Polish wind conditions, having been tested mainly in Dutch and British climates that differ markedly from Polish conditions.
The Dospel Dragon 1500+ wind turbine is designed and manufactured 100 % in Poland by Dospel, a Polish ventilation-industry leader with 50 years of production experience.
A breakthrough design that places the generator in the centre of the turbine delivers perfect balance and shields the turbine’s core from the elements, maximally extending the service life of the Dospel Dragon 1500+—something impossible for importers or “manufacturers” who assemble ready-made components imported, among other places, from China.
The unique generator construction allows series or parallel connection, enabling the turbine to reach maximum efficiency even in the lowest wind zones, in both OFF-GRID and ON-GRID configurations.
INDESTRUCTIBLE hot-dip galvanising, ≥ 650 µm thick, makes a perfect complement to a photovoltaic system. The efficiency of PV panels in Poland is 15–20 %. A hybrid installation that incorporates Dospel Dragon vertical turbines can increase electricity production efficiency by up to 60 %.
