DOSPEL DRAGON 1500
DRAGON DUO 1500 W
The manufacturer Dospel focused primarily on the unit’s performance in Polish weather conditions, which means that the turbine starts generating power at a mere 1.2 m/s wind speed.
For other wind turbines available on the market, power generation starts from 6 m/s, and the generators in those turbines are not produced in Poland and therefore have never been adapted to Polish wind conditions, because they were tested mainly in Dutch and British climates that differ greatly from Polish conditions.
The Dospel Dragon 1500+ wind turbine was designed and manufactured 100 % in Poland by Dospel, a Polish producer and ventilation-industry leader with 50 years of manufacturing experience.
Its breakthrough design, with the generator placed in the centre of the turbine, ensures perfect balance and shields the turbine’s core from the elements, thereby maximally extending the service life of the Dospel Dragon 1500+—something unattainable for importers or “manufacturers” assembling ready-made parts sourced, for example, from China.
The unique generator construction allows series or parallel connection, enabling the turbine to achieve maximum efficiency even in the lowest wind-speed zones in both OFF-GRID and ON-GRID systems.
INDESTRUCTIBLE hot-dip galvanising of at least 650 µm forms an ideal complement to a photovoltaic system. PV-panel efficiency in Poland is 15–20 %. Thanks to a hybrid installation with vertical Dospel Dragon wind turbines, electricity-production efficiency increases by up to 60 %.
The vertical Dospel Dragon wind turbine is the best choice for many reasons, chiefly:
- Silent operation and the ability to harness wind power fully even when installed on the ground. Its construction captures wind from every direction, including wind reflected by nearby buildings, trees and the ground. Thanks to high operational flexibility, the turbine efficiently generates electricity even under the frequently changing Polish weather conditions.
- Our turbine can be installed at ground level, close to trees and buildings
- Start-up wind speed: 1 m/s
- Required mast: none – thanks to its special design it remains efficient even on the ground
- Estimated payback: 3–5 years
- Weight: 130 kg
- Generates power from: 1.2 m/s
- Electric brake: yes – braking controller
- Turbine dimensions: 150 × 240 cm
- Sound pressure: 44 dB – inaudible at 8 m
- Dedicated and tested for Polish weather conditions
- Colour: matte silver – prevents stroboscopic effect
- Rotor material: aluminium sheet
- Mounting-pole material: galvanised steel sheet – 650 µ
- Coil material: 100 % copper wire
- Number of bearings: 2 top-quality SKF ball bearings
- Best-in-class corrosion protection
- Generator technology eliminates vibration-induced noise – the Dospel Dragon 1500+ is inaudible to the human ear (does not exceed 20 dB at 8 m).
- Dragon braking controller: can be used in systems across a 0–1000 V range (version-dependent), offering flexibility for various installation needs.
A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE IS THE LARGE NUMBER OF COILS MADE OF 100 % COPPER, RESULTING IN UNPRECEDENTED PERFORMANCE AND EFFICIENCY ON THE WIND-TURBINE MARKET.
COMPETITORS USE COILS MADE OF COPPER-CLAD ALUMINIUM WIRE, WHICH DISTORTS NOMINAL VALUES.
- A robust 6 mm-steel mounting bracket is available for flat and pitched roofs (45°); mounting bolts included.
- Bracket sold separately.
Braking controller sold separately.
