The manufacturer Dospel has focused primarily on the unit’s efficiency under Polish weather conditions, meaning the turbine begins generating electricity at a wind speed of just 1.2 m/s.
For other wind turbines available on the market, power generation starts from 6 m/s, and the generators used in those turbines are not produced in Poland and therefore have never been adapted to Polish wind conditions, as they were tested in Dutch and British conditions, which differ significantly from Polish conditions.
The Dospel Dragon 1000+ wind turbine was designed and manufactured 100 % in Poland by Dospel, a Polish ventilation-industry leader with 50 years of production experience.
Its breakthrough design with the generator placed in the centre of the turbine provides perfect balance and protects the heart of the turbine from the elements, thereby maximally extending the service life of the Dospel Dragon 1000+ (unachievable for importers or “manufacturers” assembling from ready-made components sourced, e.g., from China).
The unique generator design allows connection to an installation both in series and in parallel, enabling the turbine to reach maximum efficiency even in areas with very low wind strength when operating both OFF-GRID and ON-GRID.
INDESTRUCTIBLE hot-dip galvanising with a thickness of min. 650 µm is the perfect complement to a photovoltaic system. PV panel efficiency in Poland is 15-20 %. A hybrid installation using vertical Dospel Dragon wind turbines can increase electricity production efficiency by up to 60 %.
